New Changes Have Come...AGAIN!
You might have noticed that WDTHFM has had some challenges lately that kind of put us in a bit of a bind.
First of all, we have been knocked off the stream about a dozen times since last Thursday because the "electrical people" have been replacing underground cable. The constant shut downs and reboots have really had an effect on our equipment and we hope not to the extent that we will have to start replacing hardware. Long story there!
The latest "hair pulling contest" for us to face was finding out our music licensing agent wasn't doing their job. We had suspicions that our licensing was not being paid to the folks at the RIAA. When our suspicions were found to be justified we immediately Monday afternoon shut the down the station. Then located a new licensing agent called Loud City which has picked us up, taken our money and made us legal. This also is another long story that we won't burden you all with. But it was a valuable lesson for us here at WDTHFM.COM to ever keep on our toes.
Rebuilding Website & Station UpdateWe are still remodeling and rebuilding the website. We have been looking over the historical stuff about the original WDTH and decided that a lot of it is really quite negative. Rather than depress you with all the facts of the station's historic demise, we're going to hold off on most of the items we have in our collection. There are some odds and ends from its heyday that may be of interest like a music survey or two. Nothing flattering just what we have so far in our collection. Now I can tell you that we have been in contact with a person who claims to have some interesting things about WDTH that is going to send our way. He is busy person with his job and all (which we can understand) BUT we have been waiting almost a year now for something to include here. Maybe he will visit the website here and catch my "hint"...but we're not quite sure since I (and he) never know when we will catch each other by way of phone and email. I should also add here he's out of the country from time to time on various "projects" so delays are to expected. But it should be noted here that I am getting impatient and want to get this site DONE and create a positive prospective of the old WDTH that will hopefully complement the new and redesigned WDTHFM.COM. We'll keep everyone posted as to how we are doing.
